Tallest building in the world and unique architecture that promote 'unity within unity, harmony, stability and rationality'.
The Petronas Twin Towers, centrepiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), is a world-renowned icon of modern Malaysia. With a height of 451.9 metres (1483 feet), the towers were the tallest building in the world from 15th April 1996 until 17th October 2003 when Taipei 101 was topped out at 508 metres (1676 feet).
The striking glass-and-steel combination with floor plans is derived from the simple geometry of two interlocking squares, an important basis of Islamic architecture. These geometric forms, based on eight-pointed star, describe 'unity within unity, harmony, stability and rationality'.
Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous double-decker skybridge, measured at 192 feet long (58.4m), which links the 2 sky lobbies and facilitates the movement between the two towers at the 41st and 42nd floors (175m above street level).
Visit the skybridge today for an exhilarating 'top of the world' feeling. Some useful information for the visit.
