The Bukit China or 'Chines Hill' was a gift from Sultan Mansur Shah to Princess Hang Li Poh as the Princess married the Sultan for the diplomatic ties between China and Melaka. Bukit China is now the largest Chinese cemeteries outside China with many of the tombs dating back to Ming Dynasty. The hill contains 12,500 graves with the earliest grave date to 1622.
