Christ Church

Christ Church, is another fine example of Dutch wooden architecture and craftmanship built in 1753 during their one century rule. Situated near Jalan Laksamana and Jalan Gereja, it is the oldest protestant church in Malaysia.

It is exemplified in handmade pews dating back 200 years and ceiling beams constructed without joints. The altar is a beautiful piece of the 'Last Supper' done in glazed tiles. There are old tombstones, inscribed with American script, laid on the Church floor. There is also a collection of antique silver vessels bearing the Dutch coat-of-arms.
