Perak > FMS Bar & Restaurant 2 Jalan Sultan Idris Shah,
FMS stands for "Federated Malay States", comprising of Malay states (Perak, Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan), once fall under the British rule. Reputed to be the oldest functioning bar in Malaysia, it was founded by a Hainanese immigrant in 1906. European miners, planters and merchants used to frequent the bar. Today, it is operated by fourth generation proprietor Pang Chee Ein, "Nephew" of the late "Uncle" Cheam Yeow Toon, as they are known to regular clientele. A new heritage cafe serving Hainanese food has replaced the hotel above the bar.
